We’ve got the cover for my next release! Yea!
The book is two novellas, one by Linda Conrad, an outstanding Harlequin Romantic Suspense author, and one by me. It’s titled Christmas Confidential, and it’s about two private investigators and heroines on the run and Christmas and all that great stuff.
Holiday Protector is another Copper Lake installment, sorta. The heroine, Miri, is the older sister of Sophy Marchand, who’s dated just about every hero in Copper Lake and is still single. (I have a guy in mind for her, though — one of those Holigan boys who ran wild with the Calloway boys growing up. Sean is, in fact, the only Holigan brother who’s not currently incarcerated — definitely a bad boy to play off sweet Sophy.)
HP is a road-trip romance. It opens the day Miri gets out of prison, only to find Dean, the PI who helped her put her there, waiting. She may have done her time, but there’s the little matter of the million dollars she embezzled that he wants to return to his client. They start out in Texas and wind up in Copper Lake, just in time for the holidays.
The book will be available sometime late in November. Before then, I’ll post an excerpt here.

Sounds great. Can’t wait.
Thanks, Deb!
This novella sounds like a really fun read, Marilyn!
I hope readers agree. Remember your book about the cat burglar? You wondered whether readers would find her reasons for stealing understandable? It reminds me of this. *I* think Miri was very justified in embezzling the money. I just hope I wrote it in such a way that others do, too.
Can’t wait to read it.
Thanks, Edna!
I’m so excited. YOU know how I love road trips!!!
Absolutely! This one was fun — especially since, unlike Miri, I could go to the bathroom whenever I wanted.
