Let me see you smile. . .that was a song that was sung at my sorority house. I hated it then, and I do now. I try to remember to smile especially when I don’t feel like it. Because really, most people don’t care/want to know/give a hoot how you are feeling. And the events of the past few days are nothing to smile about.
This is a difficult time of year for me–I’ve mentioned this before–and I have to discover ways to bring some kind of laughter. I dress up my dogs in goofy costumes. This year, I “ELFED” Don, me, and the 3 dogs to a hip-hop song.
Forcing myself to pull out some decorations has changed the living room. Twinkle lights are awesome.
So if you’re overflowing with the holiday spirit, share some. Keep posting on Facebook. You will bring a smile to someone. And that is always a good thing.

Here is my smile for you ;-D. I am smiling because I got to know you this year – even if just online. You made me smile more than once. I know we smiled through the tears a few times but this smile is a totally happy one. Hope you have a blessed Christmas and peaceful new year.
Thanks, Debbie!
I am blessed to have you in my life. We have had a roller coaster of a year.
Thanks for the smile!
I’m having trouble whipping up my Christmas spirit also. I’m using a Groupon to have my house cleaned, hoping that will encourage me to decorate. I guess I need a husband or dogs to ELF-up!
Hey, Jackie!
Woo hoo for Groupons! Love my pack to death, wouldn’t be up for training new ones at the moment.
I’m thinking this year is just a bit harder to whip up the joy!
I don’t miss a chance to smile. Watching The Big Bang Theory or America’s Funniest Videos or just about any video that our friend Sandee links to on Facebook . . .
This is a tough time, but we’ll get through it. It will pass.
Marilyn–
This too shall pass!
Maybe it is time for me to dress the dogs in their holiday garb! That’ll make me smile!
