Yeah, so? Well as I’ve been trying to read more, I realize that I’m very spoiled. And it’s Marilyn’s fault. She not only taught me how to write, she crafts such excellent books that it takes a special author to keep me interested. Life is just too short to put up with bad book.
I tried the day after Christmas. Two hours that I will never get back. What is really sad is this particular book has been through two Big New York houses and the movie rights sold. When I start editing a book instead of reading, it is time to move on.
The other day as I was waiting for my son to get off work, I found a set of books about ghosts. Now, I’ve tried these non-fiction books before and the writing is usually as dry as an old bone. This author breathes life into her stories.
And maybe into me too. Who knows, maybe I’ll find my muse again.

Good luck, Meg!
I’ve been reading, too. One book was a cozy–book 3 in a series–and I was so tired of the intentional ‘bickering’ between two men (lovers) and subsequent cattiness, that I just wanted to throw it across the room! But I didn’t want to hurt my Kindle and wanted to see who the real murderer was, so I carried on.
I’m reading a vamp novella now–better than I expected, but still. . . .
Last year, I started and stopped reading 5 books for various reasons. You don’t need to waste your time either . . . ’cause I hope to actually WRITE this year and will need your wonderful insight! I have five on the burners raring to go, but choosing which one to start with is tough.–check out the page on my blog with the WIP’s
I have to admit, I’m leaning toward Kyte’s story because of my one rabid fan who asked me when the next story would be out.
Thanks, Margaret!
I’m ready for you to write Kyte’s story too. You are another of my favorite writers as I get lost in the story.

We will both write this year!
Marilyn’s book tend to do that. The only trouble is I read a book a day and she doesn’t write that fast. *sigh*
Jackie–
Your books are excellent too…..Love your writing style.
Wow…you are a fast reader. It would be hard to keep up with you.
Happy New Year, my sister! Miss seeing you.
Thank you, Meg and Jackie, I appreciate it. My goal is to keep improving and learning with each book.
